The demand comes at a time when the airline has been facing toilet blockages due to clothes and other items.

After the plane landed, the crew found that the toilets were blocked due to items like plastic bags, garbage and clothes. An Air India spokesperson said in a statement provided to The Times of India that the airline wants to emphasize to passengers to use the toilets only for the purposes for which they are designed.
