No mini-budget will come by the end of June, IMF was convinced

The IMF is still satisfied with Pakistan’s economic performance, no mini-budget will be released by the end of June, on which the IMF was persuaded.

Today will be the last day of talks between Pakistan and the IMF, after the technical session, policy-level talks will also be completed today.

According to sources, the IMF delegation is scheduled to meet the Finance Minister, while the Finance Minister will also meet the delegation at an Iftar dinner.

Upon completion of the talks, the delegation will compile its review report, after which the Executive Board will decide to release the next installment of one billion dollars.

The budget targets and the current fiscal year will be reviewed today, while a briefing will be given on the achievement of the tax shortfall and new tax targets. The initial proposals from both sides will be finalized today and the delegation will return after the talks.

Pakistan held fruitful talks with the IMF, most of the IMF targets were achieved and all the necessary economic data was provided.

IMF Demands

The IMF has demanded that tax concessions be abolished, saying that solar panels and electric vehicles are a necessity for the wealthy class.

The International Monetary Fund has also demanded that concessions be abolished on parts for electric vehicles.
