Binance founder appointed strategic advisor to Pakistan Crypto Council

Chang Peng Zhao, founder of world-renowned crypto exchange Binance, has been appointed as the strategic advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council.

The appointment was officially announced during a high-level meeting in Islamabad, which was attended by Peng Zhao and representatives of the Pakistan Crypto Council.

Peng Zhao, known worldwide as CZ, chaired the meeting by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Governor State Bank, and Secretaries of the Ministry of Law and IT. The aim of the meeting was to formulate a strategy for the promotion of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in Pakistan.

On this occasion, Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb said that this is a historic moment for Pakistan. We are sending a clear message to the world that Pakistan is ready for innovation.

He further said that with the involvement of CZ, we are accelerating our vision of making Pakistan a regional power through Web3, digital finance and blockchain-based development.

During his visit to Pakistan, Peng Zhao also held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, in which they discussed investment in the crypto industry, regulation, and cooperation in the field of technology.

By leveraging Peng Zhao’s global reputation and expertise in crypto technology, Pakistan can play an effective role in the global crypto market.

On this occasion, Bilal Saqib, Chief Executive of the Pakistan Crypto Council, said that Pakistan is opening its doors to the future of the financial world, who better than CZ to guide us on this journey.
