After Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen criticized the Pakistan Super League (PSL), another franchise owner has opened up.
Former champion team Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal criticized Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen and said that defaming the league should be avoided, we are all part of it as franchise owners.
He said that since the beginning of the PSL, we have been doubted, we have faced criticism from India and some other TV channels, but the most painful thing is when one of our colleagues, the team owner, mocks and insults the league.
Salman Iqbal added that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is progressing, this is our pride, Salman Naseer and the PCB team are making all their efforts to take the league to greater heights, instead of negative words and criticism, we as team owners should support them.
It should be noted that in an interview two days ago, Ali Tareen, the owner of the former Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion team Multan Sultans, had severely criticized the board’s franchise rental model.
Ali Tareen said that all the franchises of the league are currently running on a “rental model”, in which the owners of the teams do not have real ownership. We, the franchise owners, pay rent to keep the teams with us. If we do not pay, we will lose any ownership rights.
