A painting purchased for $2.99 in the United States was auctioned for $2,875 (more than 800,000 Pakistani rupees). The painting was a masterpiece by the famous American artist Johann Berthelson.
Marissa Alcorn, a resident of Dayton, Ohio, said that she and her fiancé went to a store and found this painting.
Marissa said that she did not like the painting, but because it was $2.99, she bought it.
She said that while she was putting the painting in the car, she noticed a name, which, upon searching, was found to be that of the famous artist Johann Berthelson.
