The planet with 274 moons, is declared the ‘King of Moons’

Astronomers have discovered 128 new moons orbiting Saturn, bringing the total number to 274.

The new discovery raises the question of why the planet has so many moons.

Scientists say that investigating this matter can give us important information about the evolution of the solar system.

The discoveries bring the total number of moons of Saturn to 274, which is almost three times more than Jupiter and more than the total number of moons known around other planets.

Astronomer Scott Sheppard of the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington said that Saturn is the king of moons.

Astronomer Samantha Lawler of the University of Regina in Canada, who participated in the observations, also said that the discovery was fascinating. It clearly shows how much is out there.
